In my case, as it&#8217;s been about a year since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timdefenderoftheearth.com\/news\/?p=1094\"><strong>the last time I did it<\/strong><\/a>, I thought I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d pass along some <strong>music recommendations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If my neighbours have ever wondered this year just what that racket is that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been coming from my cave, here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the answer: <strong>my current four favourite albums<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-202  aligncenter\" title=\"marniestern\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/marniestern.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/marniestern.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/marniestern-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/marniestern-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Take one astonishing guitarist and singer. Add drums that sound like a washing machine being intricately and thoroughly <strong>hurled down a flight of stairs<\/strong>. The result, in the case of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Marnie-Stern\/dp\/B0046OHC5C\/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1292867096&amp;sr=301-1\"><strong>Marnie Stern<\/strong><\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcs eponymous third album (above), is <strong>a glorious, inspiring, joyful noise <\/strong>that <strong>makes you feel like you could leap out of the window and fly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-203  aligncenter\" title=\"darwin-deez\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/darwin-deez.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/darwin-deez.jpg 400w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/darwin-deez-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/darwin-deez-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With plaintive Kermit the Frog-style vocals, sparkling guitar and irresistible shake-it-to-the-left-shake-it-to-the-right rhythms <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Darwin-Deez\/dp\/B003F1RCIO\/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1292867205&amp;sr=301-1\"><strong>Darwin Deez<\/strong><\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcs debut album is <strong>charming, <strong>chiming pop perfection<\/strong><\/strong>. And check out his <strong>moustache!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-204  aligncenter\" title=\"ManiacMeat\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ManiacMeat.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"404\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ManiacMeat.jpg 404w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ManiacMeat-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.theycrawl.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ManiacMeat-300x297.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 404px) 100vw, 404px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcparental advisory\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 sticker on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Maniac-Meat\/dp\/B003FBXUSU\"><strong>Maniac Meat <\/strong>by<strong> Tobacco<\/strong><\/a> is, partly, a joke: the vocals on this album are mostly unintelligible and what few words I can make out don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seem that rude at all. What <em>is<\/em> rude is the music: this <strong>raucous homebrewed electronic brouhaha <\/strong>never fails to put a grin on my face.
